You’re right about people doing the credit card thing for vacations. I’m from a 2-doctor house. My hairstylist takes nearly the same vacations we do; she just takes longer to pay her cards off than we do. She sees this as the price one pays for escaping the consequences of Progressive policy.
I am in my 50s. I want to say, kids, I’m very impressed with what you younger guys have built on the fringes, given the world you were handed.
Once, when I was 12 or so, I wanted a newly released PS2 game that I couldn't afford. My mom offered to loan me 50 bucks at 20% interest. I think I got a chore allowance of $12 at the time, so the interest alone consumed nearly all my allowance. After two weeks my dad was kind enough to let me do extra yard work to pay down the principle, but I never forgot the lesson. I am in the upper 10% income bracket in my town but we only take domestic vacations we can pay for with cash, never credit. My second loan ever will be when I take out mortgage to build our house next year, lol.
I like Isaac and think you guys have great chemistry, but what’s the point of having him on if he’s only read/sis aware of like a THIRD of the things you guys are talking about?? Unless the off the cuff analysis is the point and balance to your dedicated analysis, Dudley.

Thinking about it, would be interesting to have an in-depth inside baseball analysis of the weeks events, and on the other a total outsider/someone who hasn’t read the articles and then we get their raw takes from your summary. Dunno how that would work exactly, apart from the fact it would be a lot of work, but who knows, maybe in the future.
The "epic bacon manly man" posted is indeed one of the gayest things I've seen online. When your while thing is being performativly masculine but you can never throw a punch, theres discordance. There's something inherently feminine about internet drama. It's unbecoming to see a man act in that manor.

I don’t really think the Anons are playing a character, per se, (aside from Howling Mutant who is a comedian) but they have opinions that would get them fired if they face posted. They are trying to move the ethos of the world towards a time when thru can post what they post anonymously with their real face and whole chest; but that is not the current world. At least that is how I see it.
With that said, both of you have a role in creating that future where RW thought is ascendant. Dudley as news aggregation and Isaac in the role of giving people an opportunity to be independent - and therefore free to speak their mind fully.
