A lot of people ask us: “What is the New Right?” If we had to give a dictionary definition, it would be something like “a loose group of extremely online political thinkers, pundits and activists who use provocative, trollish speech to position themselves as more radical opponents of the progressive project than mainstream conservatism, which it views as weak and compromised.” And then maybe we’d go into specifics like race and gender and nationalism and hierarchy blah blah blah…*yawn*.
A more fun way to explain would be with a Buzzfeed-style listicle. So let’s do that instead.
Each of the entries below is more than just a funny little saying. They tell you something about what the New Right actually believes. We did one of these for 2023 and 2024, and we’ll have another one coming up next month to cover 2025.
But this list is the one to rule them all. The all-time most supreme memes of the New Right.
50. Sensitive young man
They don’t understand you. You’re not an evil hatemonger. You’re not a stochastic terrorist. You’re just a misunderstood fellow who likes to read esoteric books about history and politics. If anything, you just love too much, and too hard. Like Ryan Gosling in that one movie. He’s literally you. A sensitive young man.
49. Thielbux
Right wing-ish mega-billionaire Peter Thiel likes to throw his money around, or at least that’s what broke dissident seems to think: that everyone’s getting a piece but them. Magazines, podcasts, decadent urban gatherings – they’re all allegedly funded by this shadowy figure. There’s nothing sketchier than being a recipient of Thielbux, but hey, if you know how to get some, let us know…
48. Always chimp / Trust the plan
Trump did a lot of good things, but a lot of bad things still happened. There were weeks when it was easy to simply “trust the plan,” an exhortation borrowed from Q-boomers. There were even moments where the e-right felt like they needed to “chimp out” to display frustration with the admin’s moves. This spawned a new zen state, where one simultaneously trusts the plan and chimps. It’s not over; we are maintaining hedged, cautious hope.
47. It’s amazing how much leftist discourse is just them pretending not to understand things…

One of the biggest new memes of 2025. Copy-pasting this banger from @MillennialWoes instantly dismisses a leftist who’s being strategically obtuse in order to avoid facing the internal contradictions of his worldview. Instead of having the same agonizingly 101-level conversations over and over again to simply agree on basic terms, just hit them ‘em the screenshot.
46. Nothing ever happens
On 4chan, the foremost wellspring from which much of dissident culture emerges, it became a game to declare that the bit of breaking news everyone’s freaking out over will have a negligible impact on broader historical trends. The Nothing Ever Happens bros take great pleasure in quashing enthusiasm and dismissing hype. The opposite of excitable “It’s happening!’ Ron Paul memes.
45. White Boy Summer
When Chet Haze released this immortal single in the spring of 2021 in response to some black rapper’s “Hot Girl Summer,” he probably wasn’t anticipating how this would become a rallying cry for “crazy-ass white boys” the world over. A catchphrase that launched a thousand highlight reels of guys back-flipping off cliffsides.
44. Foid
Female humanoid > femoid > foid. Although it sounds like something an alien scientist would say observing the human female, or something an incel would say to misogynistly dehumanize the distant object of his obsession, we mean it with pure and innocent love. Every sensitive young man wants nothing more than a mid foid by his side.
43. The Left can’t meme
There’s an argument to be made that being funnier is the one weird trick that explains the Right’s current ascendance. For even the silliest and most indecipherable meme to resonate, it needs to contain a seed of truth. That’s why the New Right is a productive meme factory, while various leftypol and Breadtube creeps can never seem to create memes that gain traction.
42. Coal
In order to get ahead in the poasting economy, many resort to posting coal; that is, low-effort engagement bait that plays to the crowd. Coal takes many forms. It’s the sort of content that only a mouthbreathing idiot could enjoy, and yet, it fills your timeline daily. Must be a lot of mouthbreathing idiots out there who eat this stuff up. Oh well, sometimes it’s worth digging through the coal mines to find that one glittering gem (like the thread you’re reading now).
41. Poasting

Speaking of gems and coal, these terms describe the art of poasting, the New Right’s preferred mode of praxis. Far from an idle pastime, some basement dwellers say that poasting is the most important political act one can ever take.
“Why do you spell it like that?” It’s an old 4chan thing. You misspell things on purpose because it’s funny to be retarded. They used to say “Toasting in an epic bread” instead of “Posting in an epic thread” and we guess it stuck halfway.
40. Competence Crisis

Kickstarted by this Palladium essay, it became quite obvious in 2023 that things are starting to break down. Our society is barely kept afloat by autistic graybeards who’ve thanklessly maintained our complex systems until getting pushed out by “diversity hires,” or so the narrative goes. Next time the McDonald’s ice cream machine is broken, you’ll know what to mutter under your breath.
39. NETTR
David Boaz coined “No Enemies to the Right” (NETTR) in 2019, but it broke wide open in late 2022 and became one of the e-right’s defining debates after Charles Haywood told Rod Dreher that his urge to gatekeep the right by exiling anyone with spicier opinions is tactically stupid. Instead we should focus fire on the real enemy (see the next entry). NETTR remains a perennial disagreement between mainstream normiecons and the New Right.
38. ...and they think it’s funny
The full quote from Sam Hyde, “When we win, do not forget that these people want you broke, dead, your kids raped and brainwashed, and they think it’s funny,” feels less hyperbolic every day. After a year of assassinations, attempts, and open celebrations of both, you can feel it in your bones.
37. Natalism

Having lots of kids is becoming a status signifier, and not just on the right. Thanks to work from domestic extremists, exit strategists, and apocalyptic techies, natalism has become a minor pillar of New Right activism. In a world of consumerist, directionless DINKS, the natalists are focused on playing the longest game.
36. Lindy
The longer something has been around, the more likely it is to survive. Popularized by Paul “Lindyman” Skallas, it represents a conservative way of looking at the world. Try to live according to your ancestors’ traditions, even something as simple as a daily walk, because there’s a reason that stuff became traditional. It works.
35. Hicklib
It’s simple: Guy who looks like a hick has surprisingly lib opinions. This tactic allows Hollywood to inject ideology into their content without threatening their conservative audience. Now righties use it to call the trope out, as well as the broader phenomenon of bitter libtards who, instead of escaping to the coasts, stayed in the heartland to annoy everyone around them, and pretend their Carhartt jackets allow them to speak for normal Americans.
34. Empathy Heatmap

Did you know that conservatives love their families and liberals love “plants, trees, and inert entities such as rocks”? Rob Henderson popularized this image from a 2019 study, which has become a shorthand way to dismiss libs who seem altruistically devoted to “The Other,” to a pathological degree. Something to cite the next time someone tells you to have some heckin’ empathy.
33. Egregore
An egregore is a concept from occultism and esotericism, referring to a collective thoughtform or psychic entity created by the focused beliefs, emotions, or intentions of a group of people. A shared idea or archetype that gains a kind of autonomous existence through the energy and attention it receives. Some think this is a purely natural phenomena, others see demons. Either way, Rightists have found it helpful to explain progressivism as a kind of overmind that wants things, and various conspiratorial phenomena can be described as simply the results of the aligned incentives that comprise it.
32. Hyperborea/Agartha

Do white people really descend from a race of pure, vril energy-infused, god-like giants, emerging from mythical hidden lands Beyond the North Wind and underneath the surface of the earth, respectively? Not sure, but in a demystified world, it’s kinda fun to pretend. Schizoid Little Dark Age edits abound, yearning for a more romantic pagan past. Nearly a million views on this Down Under remix attest to this. Vrilliant.
31. Breakfast Question

A provocative 4chan thread that dates back to 2021 forces us to reckon with the tragic reality that large swathes of the population simply cannot handle abstract reasoning, and a society based on ignoring this reality may be doomed. They don’t call it the “Dark” Enlightenment cause it’s sunny and bright.
30. Boomer Truth Regime / Post-WWII Consensus
The prevailing historical narrative shaped by the Boomer generation refers to a collection of myths that portray a triumphant end of history characterized by individual liberty, free-market capitalism, consumerism, and global democracy. The Holocaust remains the ultimate evil, and all ongoing conflict reflects a Hollywood war of good liberals against evil Nazis. It’s a silly worldview that New Right thinkers are aiming to slam dunk in the dustbin of history (Edit: This was coined by Neema Parvini aka Academic Agent).
29. Broscience / Poast physique / Peaty
On 4chan’s fitness board /fit/, the only way to verify that someone knows what they’re talking about is to provoke them to post their semi-nude body: “Poast physique.” This meme embodies the New Right’s focus on bodily health as a core part of its political project. Bronze Age Pervert can take credit for this one.
The well-built “broscientists” who think looking good is just as important as having the right ideas (“physiognomy is real”) have been pushing various alternative health regimens that involve eating ungodly amounts of raw eggs, raw milk, raw liver, thyroid hormone, and methylene blue (shout out to weird health guru Ray Peat). The result is a generation of young men who are hitting the gym, a visually striking antithesis of the typical skinnyfat, hormonally dysregulated libtard with unsunned balls who eat a steady diet of…
28. Zogslop
A jokingly antisemitic reference to seed-oil soaked slop that normies unthinkingly guzzle down, especially those in schools, prisons and other hive-like institutions. THEY want you to eat like this. THEY don’t want you to be healthy. THEY don’t want you to look good or feel good. THEY want you to be a typical skinnyfat, hormonally dysregulated libtard with unsunned balls.
27. Woke more correct
Sometimes the woke are so extreme on an issue that they accidentally reveal unspeakable truths. Covfefe Anon developed the coinage, “Woke more correct than the mainstream,” to describe the phenomenon that occurs when a lib makes an observation so ridiculous that it bends back around to being closer to the truth than even some conservatives would admit.
26. A black woman invented the telescope

In a world of Black Girl Magic where they just be saying whatever about blacks’ history and accomplishments, sometimes it’s easier to just nod your head and keep your mouth shut.
25. Vitalism

There’s a lot of philosophical baggage around the term, but for today’s dissident, vitalism basically means being strong and harnessing one’s energy to act upon the world, rather than be acted upon. Bronze Age Pervert invoked Nietzschean will-to-power to condemn the modern bugman lifestyle and promote an ideal of the pre-Christian warrior-aesthete. Vitalists often accuse the Right’s “Christcucks” of glorifying weakness and ugliness, generating eternal rounds of ponderous Substack essays on both sides.
24. Cool Wine Aunt
Millennial women grew up watching Sex and the City. They moved to a tier-one city, got a Powerpoint job, and spent all that disposable income on brunch. Now they’re going gray, and the mimosas and gossip aren’t hitting like they used to. How to fill the void? Fighting the patriarchy, of course. A once aspirational archetype turned sour.
23. Conservatism is progressivism driving the speed limit
Quip machine Michael Malice has coined a number of aphorisms, but this one serves as good a single mantra for the New Right as any. Because establishment conservatives don’t do a great job of conserving anything, and because the society they wish to preserve is simply that which already lost to progressivism ten years ago. Conservatism positions itself as the antagonist to progressivism, but it’s sitting in the backseat of the same car, meekly asking the driver to slow down a little.
22. It’s not happening but it’s good that it is
Also known as the “celebration parallax,” this rhetorical trick is deployed by libs where they deny an observable social problem, and then when backed into a corner, sputter that “OK fine it’s happening but it’s a good thing.”
“Actually,” they continue, “it’s weird that you even care so much.”
21. Boomercon / Normiecon
Imagine a fat old man who leaves Fox News on all day on more than one TV in his suburban Phoenix house (mortgage: $150/mo). His generation dismantled the social scaffolding that gave him such a nice life, and now that you’re struggling to make your way in a much harsher world, he thinks you just need to pull yourself up by your boostraps. Hates commies, loves Israel. Wants to preserve the values of 10 years ago. Divorced, at least one kid has gone no-contact. Beautiful loser.
