Thank you for including my gallery and great roundup. Feeling like this is the right time for us, especially with Inauguration Day coming up. Whitepilled hard.
Rufo’s Panda Express makes sense when you understand it’s in an area where the median single family home is $800k and you would need to make 3x that to afford a house.
This is the big thing, if you were a homeowner before 2020/2022 you live a different existence than everyone else.
If you move to a cheaper COL area the salary goes down proportionately. National median is 55k.
The UPS example is also not apples to apples (what is “total comp”). UPS says that salaries range from $40k-$90k with an average only as high as $62k in the most expensive state.
Anyway, I don’t think some niche union job with seniority is really a path for most people, and rufo probably hates unions anyway since he supports h1b.
The reality is that most h1b salaries are below what it takes to afford a house, and that becomes the new ceiling because why hire a person when you can hire a slave at that wage.
Lots of hilarious and awesome shit coming out of the right these days but I think far and away my favorite is when guys who went to Ivy League schools, work from home, and have never seen a black person in their lives say “give me 20 good men and I can retake Haiti/St. Louis”
I find that minorities use the speaker thing because they don't actually want to have a coherent conversation through text they just kinda want to yap and then hear other people yapping back like a radio.
Yeah, that's true, but you guys tend to watch it. Saw a poor white girl rocking back and forth while biting her nails the other day and scrolling through TikTok.
See I was going to drop a comment saying that we can't have multiple Read of the Week awardees since it's such a unique, singular, and prestigious award, but seeing as I slipped in the #4 spot to get one, nevermind about that actually
"This little spat kicked off the biggest discourse of the year, with others declaring “Work Sucks”"
Duh. That's why they call it 'work', and they have to pay us to show up. How is this even a debate? Do a basic cost/ benefit analysis on what you are willing to do and for what, compared to being one of the poors. End of discussion, other than to add that welfare is getting phased out with inflation, so add that into the equation.
I took online peoples' advice (yikes) and went into the trades recently. I'll probably be able to retire in 10ish years even if I only get average ROI from the market. And if I avoid the marriage/ reproduction trap. It is hard work though, not for the soy-infused.
The bottom line on "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps" is that people expect to earn respect and social stability in exchange for doing that. And in the current environment, they don't. That's why the H1B thing upset people so much--because it demonstrates that no matter how hard you bust your ass, if your employer can import a third worlder to replace you, they'll do it. By breaking this implicit social contract, this creates a "fuck you, got mine" attitude in everyone, the incentive is to be selfish and get spoils for yourself by any means available. If that is how the ruling class behaves, and those are the signals they are sending, you cannot expect that the common man will not take those lessons to heart.
Congrats, this was quite the endeavour and darn didn't rate a mention, gonna have to work harder to garner your attention good sir, like my buddy Celaeno did.
Congrats on 200 poasts

Brian Graham's Tweet, "Zuck says," should definitely be in the running for best of 2025.
