I know Dave loves talking with bad faith actors—and someone has to do it—but I love hearing him on with a smart and clear-headed guy. Less anti-Zionism and more NRP 🙏

Great episode! "Compliance not to organic roles of a space, but to a policy, that's not even very well understood, and not really integrated into a particular people or location." Good stuff, more to explore there.

On the Sim City article, there is a butting of heads between two managerial liberals. There are those who see only in economic terms, where people are deracinated cogs who can easily move from one locale to the next. They plan on a global scale. Then there are those who see the public terms. This group's concerns are walkable cities, third spaces, viable public transit, etc. - with the caveat for a given ethnic minority in terms of gentrification or self segregation. This second managerial liberal thinks on a local scale, but will not achieve the genesis/ sustainment of a community, because they seek to min/max the financial loss to the liberteen arrested-developed adult play.
