One of the New Right’s strongest essayists joins us this week to discuss his duo of pieces that deal with a tension between the core New Right and its uneasy allies occupying its elite fringe.
great talk guys. one quibble. dei. the reason those guys can’t get jobs or their friends either is in large part DEI. it’s not just dei jobs it’s completely infected corporate and even small business america. it’s a huge huge problem i see everyday as a consultant to small and medium size companies.
it’s not personal bugaboo but though the waving away of it on the dissident right felt a bit shallow to me. thanks again.
if you ask trump it all comes down to immigration. not to be pedantic but the feeling i discern from ten hears of maga the alt right and now the dissident right is that if you can’t fix immigration and deport illegals then there is no country (debt, election integrity, crime, culture, identity) and that extraneous issues such as dei are a mere spoke in the wheel.
and that this all, for better or worse, blends together into a “sense” of fairness and national identity people place land law.
How did I miss this episode? Damn, here I thought I'd subbed to you some time ago, but had to fix this oversight.
Love Celaeno, and his work/substack. This was a fantastic podcast, and the tide is definitely turning I see it everyday in fiction, as more and more fiction-stackers are cropping up wanting to write about what's True, not what is fashionable hereon Substack and offline.
The True things as Celaeno wisely puts it are what will always stick, will last forever and are definitely worth preserving. It is why we Fiction writers (especially us Christian Fantasy Writers) have to pass down the myths of yesteryear down to the new generation, passing on the values, the ideals and the virtues of a prior age down, so that they aren't lost.
Sorry for the rambling there, great exchange one of the best podcasts I've seen in some time.
Bienvenue, and it’s not my best work (my Merlin 1998 essay takes that cake if you want that one afterwards, it was cross-posted with Celaeno). But I do like it as it is Shakespeare, who is precious to the ‘Western Canon’ so to speak.
But anyways it should be me thank you, this was an awesome interview. Gonna have to go digging through the rest of your podcast collection for more. This was a superb piece.
Great final note. This is how vibes are manifest! Ie: economy can be downstream from culture. Trump just talking about industrialism and manufacturing and honestly respecting it has made it respectable in the minds of those young boys. And if they can put the policies in place to support those boys (trade protection, anti dei, zoning, red tape cutting, bureaucracy elimination…), then the industry will flourish in 5-10 years s when these boys graduate. 🇺🇸💪🏼⚙️🤞🏼
Excellent convo! And it really did end on a high note. I’m seeing some of the same things with my own students who are increasingly making use of the vocational program on offer at our district. Now if they could just put down their damn phones…
I also appreciate the point of seeking out liberal approval. Conservative pundits of yore love to bitch about ivy leagues and limousine liberals, but they desperately want to be part of the crowd and would kill for a chance to send their kids to these places.
I’m personally torn on the urban question. I can appreciate the complaint that small towns are trashy, boring, and decades in the past. But cities are getting bad too. And yet I’m here in the utopia of Texas that just keeps growing and getting richer. It’s the first-world of firsts-world problems. Will no one feel my pain?
And finally, you win, Dudley. I’ll pay for your primo content. You help sift through the Substack, which I imagine is a ton of work. You have been my guide on my Substack journey these past few months instead the site’s idiotic algorithm. Don’t let me down.
And Librarian, forget Florida, and come to my state. You’re an amazing writer who puts so many columnists, and freelancers like myself, to shame. Keep up the good work!
Wow thanks man!
Elite Human Capital= "Neoliberalism, without the Negro Problem".

It’s is a huge problem, but it’s not the main reason Trump was elected. I didn’t mean it to sound like I thought it was a small issue.
Yeah as that came out of my mouth I was thinking this. It's definitely a factor.
appreciate it guys. really solid.
