I wonder if you have ever come across Jennifer Roback Morse in person or her writing. Not unlike yours, except sadly it’s not humorous. She was a Chicago school libertarian economist when she was in graduate school. I knew her when I was an undergraduate. Her views of families and sexuality did a 180 degree turn at some point and she became I believe a devout Catholic.
As Peachy points out, the issue that was resolved by SCOTUS is that abortion is not a constitutional right. That's HUGE! That still leaves states with the right to regulate abortion. We may not like the regulations, but it's on us to try to get the regulations we want. And let's face it, opinions are all over the place. This is what they loosely call 'democracy'.

Happy to hear Peachy's perspective on the pro lifers.
I was seeing a lot of it (and arguing with a lof ot them, tbh) on twitter.
I 100% thought they were just grifters and sort of ... DeSantis style "NeverTrumpers" and tbh I still feel this way about a lot of them.
But the unique perspective on Lila herself and the other types of people in those groups helps.
Regardless though, the ultimate conclusion shared is the same.
These people are cutting off their nose to spite their face and like Peachy said, willing to burn everything down to put themselves on the pyre as martyrs.
I personally really have no patience for it at all.
