Great to hear Peachy in the guest spot again!

Peachy, I'm the same: I can't watch modern TV anymore. It's insufferable now. I'm a writer in the industry myself, and I've heard similar hilarious writers room stories about trying to get story broken in the DEI age.

FWIW, I've found Shogun refreshingly free of the message so far. I'm only five episodes in, so fingers crossed. Would love to hear if you guys have stumbled on anything made in the last few years that hasn't felt the need to club you over the head with their ideology.

My personal theory is this:

As the left has radicalized and shifted the Overton window over the last decade, it's shed a LOT of disillusioned classical liberals, TERFs, gays, feminists and Jews over various issues. And the traditional right, which has been hemorrhaging members for a decade, gladly welcomed anyone who could fog a mirror into the tent. And now the seams are starting to show.

All those gay conservatives? They want to buy babies for their families. All those feminist TERFs? They want to bring along their safetyist longhouse values. All those lapsed liberals? They support trans rights and don't see what the problem is. All those disillusioned Jewish globalists? They aren't giving up on Israel.

Or look at me: I'm a classical liberal who lost my party to the progressives and got redpilled after the lockdowns and riots. But I'm pro legal immigration. I think isolationism is insane, and locking out highly skilled legal immigrants from other countries is cultural suicide. And I'm slowly discovering I am ENTIRELY in the minority on this. I listen to thought leaders like Auron MacIntyre, and he's against people emigrating out of their own TOWNS into urban centers, let alone legal immigration from other countries.

It's resulted in an ideological meltdown on the right. I can't tell if it's just growing pains or what, but the Christian conservative core of this movement is going to have to figure out what it wants to do with all us nouveau redpills.

I'm afraid the only thing that will bring it all together is Harder Times...

Yeah and none of them belong. A few young terfs can be cured with a firm husband which I think they deep down waant anyways. The rest don't belong (I am open to Jews who don't seem demand our aid and will be willing to live in a world where we let the Israelis lose. David Cole is a possible example. He wouldn't like it but I'm guessing he would accept it.)

Great show. Thank you!

This should be a general rule for the movement: Have boundaries, but stay away from purity spirals!
