I actually remembered! But boy do I dislike the reader experience on Substack. The desktop version and mobile version are both bad in different ways and I can't tell that they've improved either in the last several months. Oh well. Worth putting up with for certain authors, like yourself.
Slllaaayy… so, are we all just acting like you shouldn’t have already been getting that bread. You gon’ get some bread from my stache. As soon as I get back to the laptop at my grind, my dollas are yo’s. Go girlie!
Subscribed. IIRC you floated the idea of doing an extra paywalled roundup each week. I hope you do that, one roundup a week does not provide enough insight porn and schadenfreude to satisfy my stunted, terminally-online brain.
Found the NRP less than a month ago and I love it. Easy decision to subscribe.
Dudley: one thing you should consider is unpaywalling the "Letter from the Editor" post. That post provides a nice description of what the NRP is about, but it's much less useful to prospective subscribers if they can only read the first few sentences. You might also consider doing the same with some of the yearly best-of posts since those provide a nice overview of the type of content featured in all the weekly poasts. Just my two cents.
Generally speaking I think the best model is paywalling comments and *maybe* non-standard essays. You do a great deal of good by introducing new writers and it would be a shame if that fell into the same bubble of subscribers.
That being said, it's your work and I understand you want to get something out of it.
Stupid Substack doesn’t let you manage subscriptions in the app. I swear I’ll subscribe later when I am at my desktop.
Awesome, great to hear! I recognize your handle from the early days. Thanks for the support.

Thanks Scott!!!
Done, BTW.

It was a good idea to link to *On Millennial Snot*; I thoroughly enjoyed the piece. Wishing you the best in all of your endeavours.
🙏🙏🙏
That's one less hamburger per month. Basically a deprivation diet but I'll make the sacrifice for the Poast.
Thank youuuu!

Thanks!!!
Don't forget to write witty rewards tiers for your subscription page. Your current ones are just the defaults.
"insight porn and schadenfreude to satisfy my stunted, terminally-online brain."
Omg that hits too close to home, ha
Finally. You should be paid for your work 🤗
Thanks that's nice to hear
Will that bring back the audio version?
It's coming back one way or another. Not for a little while but it's coming
I'm in.
You need to keep this up.
Thank you!!!

Keep up the great work!
Good idea. I'll do that!
Subscribed. Now I really can't wait for the long form essay about Reddit.
subbed for a fill-in-the-blank $92/yr (45+47) 🫡 keep up the good work, duds
Wow, thanks Jols!
I'm pretty sure you were one of the NRP's first free subs. Thanks for reading!

Everything will be visible for a week though. Not enough?
I missed that line, I think that's a fair compromise
With pleasure
Awesome!!!
Last podcast episode November 16? Guys, guys, guys...

Thanks so much, I'll make it with your while!
